Our Story

Alumni House Apparel was founded on a simple belief: great apparel tells a story.

What began as a passion for creating apparel that celebrated the HBCU experience has grown into a full-service custom apparel, embroidery, and monogramming company serving businesses, schools, organizations, churches, fraternities, sororities, and individuals throughout our community and beyond.

At the heart of our company is William H. Dobbs III, Founder & Creative Director, who brings more than 25 years of design experience to every project. What started as a creative outlet eventually grew into a business centered around quality, attention to detail, and helping people bring their ideas to life. 

While many people know us for our collegiate and HBCU-inspired apparel, that's only part of our story.

Today, we create custom apparel, embroidery, and monogramming for a wide range of clients. From embroidered polos and staff apparel to chapter gear, event merchandise, school apparel, and one-of-a-kind custom projects, we enjoy helping our customers create something they're proud to wear.

We're especially passionate about working with other small businesses, organizations, and members of our community. There's something rewarding about taking an idea that exists only in someone's mind and turning it into a finished product they can see, touch, and share with others.

Above all, we love partnering with people. We love helping organizations grow their brands, helping businesses look professional, helping schools build pride, and helping customers bring ideas to life.
